Capabilities
What we can make today. For now that's FDM 3D printing; new capabilities will be listed here as they're added.
FDM 3D printing
FDM printing builds your part layer by layer from melted plastic filament.
Parts show visible layer lines. That suits functional parts well, but it isn't machined precision.
Materials
-
PETG: our recommended default
Tough and impact-resistant, and far better than PLA in heat, sun and outdoor use. Fine detail prints slightly softer.
-
ASA: for heat and sun
Resists heat and UV better than PETG or PLA and stays tough in prolonged sun. Harder to print, and typically costs more.
-
PLA: for cool, indoor, detailed parts
Stiffer, with finer detail than PETG or ASA. It softens well below the heat of a parked car, so keep it out of sun and hot spaces.
