Materials — PETG & ASA & PLA

Materials chosen for what they actually do.

PETG

Tough, heat- & UV-tolerant

Our go-to for functional parts and outdoor use — it handles sun and heat better than PLA, which makes it our default pick for the Arizona climate. Strong and durable for everyday parts.

Recommended default
ASA

Engineered for the Elements: ASA

Highly resistant to sunlight, rain, and extreme weather, making it ideal for permanent outdoor use. When your projects demand maximum durability without sacrificing style, ASA (Acrylonitrile Styrene Acrylate) parts deliver. Engineered as an industrial-grade upgrade to standard plastics, ASA is the ultimate material for high-performance, long-lasting components.

PLA

Crisp detail, clean surfaces

Best for display pieces, prototypes, and indoor parts where fine detail matters. Note: PLA softens in high heat — not the pick for anything that'll sit in direct sun or a hot, enclosed space.

Available in a range of colors. Not sure which material fits your part? Tell us what it's for and we'll point you the right way — before you pay. Our guidance helps you choose; it isn't a performance guarantee, and you decide what's right for your use — see our Terms.

Capability transparency

Tolerances & finish.

Every part is FDM-printed in-house. Expect visible layer lines and a typical dimensional tolerance of about ±0.5% (±0.5 mm minimum) — normal characteristics of the process, not defects. If your part needs tighter tolerances or a display-grade finish, tell us before you order and we'll tell you honestly whether FDM is the right fit. Full detail in our Terms.
